NJ Working Families files ethics complaint against David Samson

Yesterday morning our own Analilia Mejia went on MSNBC’s “Up With Steve Kornacki” to break some big news: NJ Working Families is filing formal ethics charges against Chris Christie’s top man at the Port Authority, Chairman David Samson, alleging he used his public powers to make a profit for his law firm’s clients.

You can watch the piece below. It lays out how on at least four occasions Port Authority Chairman David Samson either voted or weighed in on votes that will profit the clients of what’s been called “Chris Christie’s favorite law-firm,” Wolff & Samson. Check out the video here:

We’re throwing down the gauntlet because New Jerseyans (and New Yorkers) deserve better than a Port Authority tainted by the endless scandals and corruption that have come to light over the last two months.

If Gov. Christie can’t summon the will to dismiss a Chairman this compromised or clean up an Authority this dirty, it’s up to us to roll up our sleeves and put New Jersey’s house back in order ourselves.
