Make no mistake, this is a racial justice issue. Data from the Metropolitan Police Department reveals that 77% of tickets written for marijuana possession have been in communities of color. We’re working with labor and community activists allies to take a forward-thinking step to help lift up working families in the district, instead of criminalize them.
