Millions of Americans are stepping up to join the resistance against Trump and extreme corporate power. The Working Families Party is turning the energy of the resistance into electoral power by reaching progressives in every corner of country, and I’m proud to tell you that the West Virginia Working Families Party is our newest state chapter!
I’m Ryan Frankenberry, the founding Executive Director of the West Virginia Working Families Party. Here at WFP, we believe we should have an economy that works for all of us, and a democracy in which every voice matters. This is how we do it:
1. The West Virginia Working Families Party creates and supports campaigns to raise standards for working families across the state, including middle class tax cuts, universal health care, earned sick days, clean elections, and debt-free higher education and apprenticeships.
2. Our state chapters, like the West Virginia Working Families Party, work to elect the next generation of local progressive leaders. We recruit, train, and elect candidates who share our values to local and state office.
3. We organize. We engage working people in taking action in our communities. We work in coalition with local, state, and national groups and their members to move our working families agenda. And we’re in the community, putting our feet on the street to make sure everyone is heard.
