I’m the mom who confronted Scott Pruitt

After months of public pressure from grassroots activists like you and me, Trump’s corrupt EPA administrator Scott Pruitt has RESIGNED.

Just a few days ago, I was eating at a restaurant in Washington, DC, where I happened to see Scott Pruitt.

I was nervous, but I knew what I had to do. So with my son in my arms, I went up to Pruitt and politely asked him to resign.1 The video of our encounter ended up being seen by millions of people, and while my chat with Pruitt was only one of a barrage of nails that slammed into his coffin this week, I’m grateful I got to play a role in his ultimate defeat.

I’m a proud member of the Working Families Party because I know the only way we can take on and defeat Trump and his corrupt cronies like Scott Pruitt is to work together to build a national, grassroots movement from the bottom up that will give them no quarter — especially at the ballot box.

If this experience has taught me anything, it’s that our voices DO matter, and everyone can be a part of the critical mass, a part of the change. Now I’m asking YOU to be a part of that change, too.

Will you chip in $3 to help the Working Families Party elect progressives who will fight with everything they have to defeat corrupt Trump Republicans?

Scott Pruitt might be going away. But he will now be replaced by oil lobbyist Andrew Wheeler, who is just as bad, if not worse. Not only does Wheeler agree with Pruitt’s destructive agenda for our environment, but he’ll be a lot more competent at achieving it.

Congressional Republicans knew about Pruitt’s corruption for months, but did nothing to rein him in. We shouldn’t expect them to use their oversight authority to rein in Wheeler, either.

There’s only one real answer and that’s flipping Congress by voting out the same Republicans who knew that Scott Pruitt — who previously sued the EPA 13 times — wanted to dismantle the EPA from the inside, but put him in charge of it anyway.

For the last few months, I’ve been a part of the #WFP4TheMany team, contributing my time to help elect progressives even as a full time mom and teacher, because I know fully what’s at stake if we don’t get these guys out of office this year. I do it because I want to leave a better world for my son. One where we still have clean water and air, and where every child has a chance to grow up, get a good education, and a fair shot at life.

Will you chip in $3 to help the Working Families Party turn out voters for progressives across the country who will fight with everything they have to defeat corrupt Trump Republicans?

Thanks for being a part of the change,
