Come see Citizen Koch

citizen kochThe corrupting influence of money on our political system is one of the most important issues of our time. Come learn a bit more about this epidemic and discuss what we can do about it.

This Friday evening Real Art Ways is screening Citizen Koch, a searing exposé on the state of American democracy.

The film investigates the money behind the Tea Party and traces the impact of unlimited election spending by corporations and billionaires. Alternately terrifying and funny, this movie is an essential and powerful portrait of our political times.

After the movie there will be a discussion led by Peggy Buchanan, President of the Greater Hartford Labor Council, State Representative Edwin Vargas, Tom Swan, Director of Connecticut Citizen Action Group, and Paul Filson, Director of SEIU Connecticut State Council.
