Today is National Voter Registration Day and activists across the country are spreading the word. We hope you’ll take a moment to ensure that you are able to vote in the November 4th elections. It couldn’t be easier because here in Connecticut, we have online voter registration.
So I have one question: Are you registered to vote?
Six million people couldn’t vote in 2008 because they missed registration deadlines or didn’t know how to register. But if we don’t vote, special interests and big banks have unchecked power over our political process. The Working Families Party has been an advocate for an open and inclusive government. We want to make sure every single person’s voice is heard, and that starts with registering to vote.
