Since we endorsed Ed Gomes for the State Senate special election in the 23rd District, the Democratic party endorsed another candidate, and at least one other candidate has collected enough signatures to appear on the ballot.
All that is to say: it’s going to be an incredibly close election. But if we win, Ed Gomes will be the very first Working Families Party state legislator in the country.

While he was in the State Senate, Ed fought to pass paid sick days, raise the minimum wage, hold corporations accountable, and ensure that our government was open and fair. We badly need a champion like Ed back in the State Senate representing our values. It is time we elected the country’s first Working Families Party state legislator!
We know it’s cold and snowy outside, but there are a lot of ways you can help Ed while staying warm! You can make phone calls to voters, or help us with paperwork. And if you’re willing to brave the cold, we’ll make sure you’re prepared with hot coffee.
The more people who can help out, the more voters we can talk to about Ed’s experience, so sign up now!
