Ban the Box passes!

Today, Oregon passed HB 3025, Ban the Box, which will make it easier for Oregonians with criminal records to find employment. Removing questions about criminal history from applications gives a second chance to qualified job applicants who’ve faced the consequences and are unlikely to reoffend.

The bill’s sponsor, Rob Nosse said “Our system of justice is meant to be redemptive. When a person has done their time, they have paid their debt to society.”
