7 weeks down and 3,000 voters registered

At the beginning of the summer, we introduced you to our six summer fellows. After seven weeks, we couldn’t be prouder of the work they’ve done.

Our summer fellows have been part of a crash course in organizing. Fellows were in our offices three days a week taking part in workshops, field trips and lectures. They’ve met labor leaders and legislators, as well as thousands of Oregonians during their voter registration work in the Portland Metro area, Salem, Woodburn and Scappoose. With our field team, they’ve registered more than 3,000 voters in 2 months!

Past fellows have continued to work in the movement and some have even joined our staff. Our work and your support has made it possible for the Oregon Working Families to continue to engage youth in our movement year after year.

This fellowship would not have been possible without your support.

“It was truly an honor to be a part of the fellowship, I learned so much about the WFP, public policy and organizing. On top of all that it was really inspiring to meet so many current and future leaders in the progressive movement. I can’t wait to see what my Fellowship alums go on to achieve!” – Nikko Bilitza

We are entering the final week of the fellowship and already our fellows are looking for opportunities to stay involved in the movement.

Help us continue our work by chipping in $10, $15 or $25 today. Better yet, consider becoming a monthly sustainer.
