#WhySheRan NYC: A Conversation with Women in Politics

On Wednesday, October 28th, over 100 women from across New York City came out for the latest installment of “Why She Ran,” a series of discussions with inspiring women in politics about their personal stories challenges of running for office. The event was organized by Working Families Party with Eleanor’s Legacy, Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, Higher Heights for America, Ladies of Labor, Shirley Chisholm Institute, NOW-NYS, Women’s Organizing Network, and WIN NYC.

Joining us were Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, NYC Council Member Julissa Ferreras, NYC Council Member Helen Rosenthal, and moderator Valerie Ervin, Director of the Participatory Democracy Project.
