DCWFP endorses Janeese Lewis George for Ward 4!

We’re endorsing Janeese Lewis George for Ward 4 councilmember!

Last night at our November membership meeting, we released the results from our first endorsement vote in the 2020 Democratic Primary and our supporters voted overwhelmingly to back her candidacy. We could not be more excited about the results!

Janeese Lewis George is someone who has been a life-long, progressive who we know will fight to shift the balance of power back to working people. Her candidacy is not only about who has the best policy solutions to the challenges we face, it is also about how we will solve them. As a Fair Elections candidate, her grassroots people powered campaign is what puts her above the rest and why we know we will win together next year.

The Working Families Party supports candidates who have bold visions because we understand that don’t win what we don’t fight for. It’s time to take on incumbents who don’t deliver change because there’s no point in running for reelection just to talk about what we can’t do and shouldn’t fight for.

The primary may not be until June next year, but that’s exactly why we’re making this early endorsement. To win in June and beyond, we need to organize, organize, organize! Join us at our next membership meeting to be part of the fight, on Wednesday, December 4 from 7 pm to 9 pm at 1234 Massachusetts Ave NW (Massachusetts Ave Entrance)
