The NYWFP is thrilled to announce Ana María Archila and Jasmine Gripper as the next State Directors of the party.

Archila and Gripper will be bringing their years of executive, organizing, and policy experience to the party.

In her role as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education, Jasmine Gripper directed campaigns that delivered record funding for New York’s public education system and historic child care funding. She was previously named one of City & State’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars and regularly features on the Education Power 100 list. Born and bred in Queens, she is a proud graduate of New York City’s public school system and CUNY’s Hunter College.

Ana María Archila is a long-time advocate for the rights of workers, immigrants, women, and the LGBTQ+ community. As the former Co-Executive Director of the Center for Popular Democracy, she built CPD into one of the largest organizing networks, with 54 affiliate organizations across 32 states and Puerto Rico. She is the Co-Founder and former Co-Executive Director of Make the Road New York. She has successfully led campaigns that won increases to the minimum wage, paid sick days, and protections against wage theft. In 2022, she ran for New York Lieutenant Governor, receiving 213,210 votes in the Democratic primary.
