West Virginia WFP Announces 59 New Endorsements

For Immediate Release: April 14th, 2022

Charleston, WV — West Virginia Working Families Party has announced a slate of new endorsements ahead of the May 10th primary, including Owens Brown for State Senate in District 1, and Amy Goodwin for Mayor of Charleston. In total, WVWFP has endorsed 59 candidates across state and local races including 12 city council races.

“We are excited to support State Senator Owens Brown, who was appointed in 2021 and was a fighter for Working Families during the 2022 legislative session,” said Ryan Frankenberry, West Virginia Working Families Party Director. “We’re also proud to endorse many of our WFP-aligned incumbents and new leaders running for the first time. Working people and their families in our state demand big, structural change. From housing justice and healthcare for all, to public education and community-centered economic development — we need leadership that will fight for life-affirming policies that support our most vulnerable. We are glad to have a slate of candidates who are clear about their commitment to the working families in West Virginia.”
