Aleena plans to continue to lead with intentional, thoughtful, and bold ideology. She is excited and proud to be working with OH WFP who share a commitment to transparency, accountability, supporting local leadership, and amplifying the power of people in politics.
Ohio Working Families Party is a progressive grassroots political party building a multiracial, multigenerational, and feminist movement of and for working people. In 2021, the OHWFP set up local endorsement committees consisting of WFP members, activists, supporters, and voters. That year, we endorsed a slate of majority-POC, majority-women, and young candidates, including WFP-member Shenise Turner-Sloss who won her race for Dayton City Commission, making over 60,000 voter contact attempts via text and phone banking.
