NYWFP Announces Endorsement for Albany Mayor and Other Candidates

ALBANY, NY — Today, the New York Working Families Party announced the endorsements of Dorcey Applyrs for Mayor, Sam Fein for Albany City Auditor and a slate of proven champions for working families.

Candidates who apply for the Working Families Party endorsement complete a robust questionnaire and interview process. At a time when local elected officials are on the frontline of protecting our communities and democracy, NYWFP is investing deeply in these races to ensure New Yorkers have trusted leaders who fight for working families.

“The New York Working Families Party is proud to endorse a slate of champions for Albany. New Yorkers are clamoring for local governments that stand unequivocally behind the needs of working families in the face of Trump’s chaos and fear. We are looking forward to working to elect a new mayor that will deliver bold, progressive change for Albany.” said Ana María Archila and Jasmine Gripper, Co-Directors, New York Working Families Party.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of the Working Families Party. This endorsement affirms our shared commitment to building a stronger, safer, and more equitable Albany, one that prioritizes opportunity for all. I’m ready to keep working for the people of Albany. Prioritizing affordable housing, restoring trust in public safety, and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs so that families can proudly call Albany home, just as I do,” said Mayoral Candidate Dorcey Applyrs. “Albany deserves experienced, accountable leadership focused on real solutions.
