Working Families Party on Zohran Mamdani’s Anticipated Victory
NEW YORK, NY—In response to tonight’s results in the NYC mayoral race, Maurice Mitchell, National Director of the Working Families Party, has issued the following statement:
“People are tired of a status quo that isn’t working for them. Zohran Mamdani’s campaign has sent shockwaves across the country and shown what’s possible when candidates have the courage to stay true to their values and speak authentically to working people.
“That’s what the Working Families Party was built for. From the biggest city to the smallest of towns, we’re electing a new generation of candidates who will put working people first.”
