Ohio WFP Endorses Shenise Turner-Sloss for Dayton Mayor
DAYTON, OH — The Ohio Working Families Party has endorsed Shenise Turner-Sloss in the race to be Mayor of Dayton.
Shenise is already a Working Families Party champion on the Dayton City Commission — delivering real wins for working people, renters, and neighborhoods across the city. Now she’s ready to take that fight to the mayor’s office.
The Working Families Party endorsement means Shnise won’t be in this fight alone. Ohio Working Families Party offers strategic campaign support, candidate training, financial contributions and most importantly, a powerful movement of support — organizers, activists, and voters ready to mobilize for real change.
“Ohio WFP is proud to continue supporting a leader like Shenise Turner-Sloss. Shenise embodies the kind of bold, justice-centered leadership the Working Families Party fights for,” said Aleena Starks, State Director of the Ohio Working Families Party. “As a leader deeply rooted in the community, with both vision and empathy, Shenise champions a multiracial democracy where every voice matters. We’re proud to stand with her as she brings real, progressive change to Dayton.”
“I’m honored to have the support of the Working Families Party, a movement that fights alongside everyday people for justice, dignity, and opportunity,” said Shenise Turner-Sloss. “WFP’s commitment to building a multiracial democracy and putting working people first aligns deeply with the values that drive my campaign. Together, we’re standing up to politics as usual and fighting for a Dayton where every family—no matter their zip code—can thrive.”
