SAGINAW, MI — Branden Snyder from the Working Families Party in Michigan made the following statement about endorsing Dr. Pamela Pugh for the Michigan Senate in the 35th District:  

“Working Families Party is proud to endorse Dr. Pamela Pugh in her race to represent the 35th District in the Michigan Senate. Our state needs working families champions who will fight for us in the Michigan Legislature. In a race that will determine the balance of power in the Michigan Senate, Dr. Pugh is the right person to make sure that our government reflects our values, not those of the wealthy and well-connected. 

“Dr. Pugh is a proven working class hero. As President of the Michigan State Board of Education, Dr. Pugh fought for students, educators, and families across racial and geographic lines, defending their safety, dignity, and right to belong. She will bring that same passion to making sure that the voices of the multiracial working class folks in her district are heard in the State Senate.
