Working Families Party Condemns Execution of Another American Citizen

Washington DC — Working Families Party National Director Maurice Mitchell made the following statement in response to the execution of Alex Jeffrey Pretti by US Customs and Border Control agents:

“Today, DHS agents executed another innocent American citizen. The Trump Administration is responsible for this violent and reprehensible murder. They have unleashed DHS to act as an extra-judicial force, leading to these horrific acts of state-sanctioned violence and murder. 

“Across the country, Americans are rejecting the terror and violence being caused by these lawless thugs. The Trump Administration and its Department of Homeland Security must immediately end their operation in Minneapolis and across the country before they cause any more harm, and the United States Senate must reject any additional funding for DHS.”
