Delaware WFP Endorses Slate of State Legislative Candidates

Party targets five incumbents who supported SB21, the Elon Musk “billionaire’s bill” bailout, and one open seat

DELAWARE — On Friday, the Delaware Working Families Party announced its endorsement of a slate of candidates across the state. The Party is specifically targeting incumbents who supported SB21, the “billionaires bill” that gave a $56 billion payout to Elon Musk, and one open seat.

For Representative, the Party endorsed Shané Darby in District 1; Rae Krantz in District 6; Pamela Salaam in District 16; and Will Imbrie-Moore in District 19. For Senate, WFP endorsed Adriana Bohm in District 1 and Shay Frisby in District 5.

“We’re proud to announce this next generation of Working Families champions who will go to Dover to fight for affordable housing, free school meals for all children, and taxing the rich,” said Karl Stomberg, Delaware Political Director for the Working Families Party. “It’s more important than ever that we have elected officials that are willing to stand up to billionaires like Elon Musk who try to change the law for their own benefit. Too many Delawareans are already hurting from rising costs and mass layoffs because of the actions of oligarchs here and around the country.”

The Delaware Working Families Party has been extremely successful winning primaries across the state, especially targeting leadership hostile to Democratic priorities. In 2024, Party-endorsed Kamela Smith defeated the incumbent Speaker of the House. In 2022, WFP supported Rep. Deshanna Neal, who defeated the House Majority Whip by just 24 votes, and expanded its bench by electing Reps. Sophie Phillips, Cyndie Romer, and Kerri Evelyn Harris in other races. In 2020, WFP supported Reps. Eric Morrison, Larry Lambert, Rae Moore, and Madinah Wilson-Anton, and Sen. Marie Pinkney, who won their primaries against more moderate Democrats.
