Joe de la Cruz: Fighting for Working Families in Connecticut

We can do better than Heather Somers.

  • Heather Somers voted with her Republican allies to restrict reproductive rights four times this term. Connecticut can’t afford a State Senator who wants to take away our freedoms.
  • When warehouse workers asked for basic standards, Heather Somers voted no. She has a 100% rating from the corporate lobbying group that keeps life in Connecticut expensive while fighting to keep pay low for working people.

This election vote for someone fighting for you:

Joe de la Cruz has a record of fighting to end this rigged economy.

Joe believes those who serve the public should listen to the people and their concerns and make solving real problems priority number one. As our State Senator, he will ensure community voices are heard in Hartford.

In 1997, Joe joined Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 40 and worked on projects large and small across our region, including at Electric Boat. His commitment to public service began locally, serving a combined nine years on Groton’s Representative Town Meeting and Town Council. In 2015, ran for State Representative for the 41st District and was honored to serve three terms.

  • Joe is fighting for universal health coverage
  • Joe is committed to fighting for solutions to help lower daily costs, and raise wages
  • Fight to bring down our energy costs by fighting big utilities
