California Squad: Elizabeth Alcantar

Elizabeth Alcantar for State Assembly (AD-64)

Elizabeth Alcantar is the youngest city councilmember and first Latina mayor elected to serve the City of Cudahy.

A longtime activist and advocate for Southeast LA, Elizabeth has organized for expanded access to higher education, workers rights, and immigrants rights fighting for the community that raised her. As a 26 year old Mayor, Elizabeth stood up giant corporations like Delta when the city discovered Delta was illegally dumping fuel in her predominantly working class, Latino city.

Elizabeth is committed to investing in affordable housing, passing Medicare for All, and fighting for bold climate action.
