California Squad: James Coleman

James Coleman for Assembly (AD-21)

Working families are uniting for James Coleman because he’s fighting for what we need – affordable healthcare, good jobs, a real living wage and lower utility bills by using low-cost green energy.

James is the youngest person elected to serve as City Councilmember in South San Francisco and was born and raised in San Mateo County. Growing up working class with his mother, a healthcare worker and the sole financial provider for his family, helped him understand the struggles of working families in the Bay Area.

He is the only candidate in the race who was raised working class, the first LGBTQ+ councilmember in South San Francisco, and has shown the courage to stand up and fight for what’s right as a corporate-free candidate.
