In response to the deepening starvation crisis in Gaza, Maurice Mitchell, National Director of the Working Families Party, has issued the following statement:

“The Israeli government is perpetrating a mass starvation campaign by blocking life-saving aid from reaching Gaza. Tens of thousands of children are at risk of death due to Israel’s blockade. Hundreds of people seeking food and aid have been shot dead by IDF troops.

“This is a humanitarian crisis on a seismic scale. The United States must use every lever of power to pressure the Israeli government to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, stop the targeting and killing of Palestinians seeking food, and bring an end to this slaughter once and for all.”
