Aisha Wahab
Senate District 10
Aisha Wahab is a Hayward City Councilmember and the first Afghan-American woman elected to public office in the US. Once elected, she will be the only tenant in the State Senate – where she will champion affordable housing and healthcare, a Green New Deal and reproductive justice.
Sara Aminzadeh
Assembly District 12
Sara Aminzadeh is a California Coastal Commissioner and a clean water and environmental justice attorney at the US Water Alliance. She has taken on polluters and won, and will be our number one champion in fighting for clean water, air and climate action in Sacramento.
Jennifer Esteen
Assembly District 20
Jennifer Esteen is a psychiatric nurse, LGBTQ+ mother and VP of organizing at SEIU Local 1021. She is running a corporate-free campaign and will bring her broad experience to the fight for universal and mental healthcare and living wage jobs for working families.
James Coleman
Assembly District 21
James Coleman is the youngest person and first LGBTQ+ person elected to serve as City Councilmember in South San Francisco. James, whose mother worked as a healthcare worker, and grew up working class, knows personally how affordable housing, Medicare for All and real living wage jobs can transform our community.
Alex Lee
Assembly District 24
Assemblymember Alex Lee is the youngest and first openly bisexual legislator elected to the California Legislature. One of two corporate free legislators in Sacramento, Alex is a champion for working families, single-payer healthcare and is leading the fight to combat climate change.
Ash Kalra
Assembly District 25
Ash Kalra is the incumbent Assemblymember for AD-25, California’s first Indian-American Assemblymember, and a former public defender. As the author of AB-1400 – California’s Medicare for All bill – and several criminal justice bills, Ash is a coalition-builder who leads on the issues that impact our communities.
Bryan Osorio
Senate District 16
Bryan Osorio is the youngest Mayor of Delano, the hometown of Cesar Chaves and United Farm Workers movement. The son of Mexican immigrants, he is running to bring a progressive voice to Sacramento on behalf of the Central Valley, and continue his fight for clean air, access to education, and workers rights.
Lola Smallwood-Cuevas
Senate District 28
Lola Smallwood-Cuevas is an educator, labor organizer and community advocate who serves as Director and Co-Founder of the Los Angeles Black Worker Center. She has worked hard to change the conditions of working families and address disparities in labor opportunities – and will continue fighting for a California that supports our most vulnerable workers.
Tina McKinnor
Assembly District 62
Tina McKinnor is a small-business owner and community leader who has spent her career fighting for equity. In Sacramento she will lead the fight for affordable housing, affordable and universal healthcare and quality public schools in every neighborhood.
Caroline Menjivar
Senate District 20
Caroline Menjivar is an LGBTQ+ Marine Corps veteran who understands how inequality affects our communities. Her experiences growing up in a working-class immigrant family, facing eviction and housing insecurity and serving during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” era, drive her commitment to fight for all communities.
Elizabeth Alcantar
Assembly District 64
Elizabeth Alcantar is the youngest city councilmember and first Latina mayor elected to serve the City of Cudahy. As a 26 year old Mayor, she stood up to giant corporations like Delta Airlines when the city discovered Delta was illegally dumping fuel in her predominantly working class city. She will fight for a Green New Deal, affordable housing and good living wages jobs for all Californians.
Fatima Iqbal-Zubair
Assembly District 65
Fatima Iqbal-Zubair is a public high school teacher and community advocate and would be the first Muslim American elected to the California State Assembly. Seeing first hand the struggles faced by her students in the district, including lack of access to affordable and quality healthcare, housing, and educational opportunities, Fatima is running to put the people over wealthy corporate interests.
Corey Jackson
Assembly District 60
Corey Jackson is a social justice advocate and nonprofit leader dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty and violence through mentorship and community organizing. He is running to uplift vulnerable and working class youth leaders through fighting for universal childcare, healthcare and quality education for all.
Bulmaro Vicente
Assembly District 68
Bulmaro Vicente is an LGBTQ+ 26 year old Policy Director at Chispa OC – a youth-led Latinx organizing group. He has fought to protect tenants from evictions, advocated to pass the Police Decertification Bill and helped lead the Santa Ana People’s Budget platform. He is running to fight for economic justice, affordable housing and equitable COVID recovery.
Georgette Gomez
Assembly District 80
Georgette Gomez is San Diego’s first LGBTQ+ Latina City Council President. She has taken on corporate polluters, expanded affordable housing and stood up for survivors of domestic violence – and will continue to fight for every working family and underserved community in California.
